(Xingjie Ni)
I received a BS degree in engineering physics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2005, and a MS degree in automation from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2007. I am currently working as a Research Assistant towards his Ph.D. degree in Prof. Vladimir M. Shalaev’s group at the Birck Nanotechnology Center, in electrical and computer engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana. Simultaneously I am also working towards his MS degree in computer science under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Sameh at Purdue. My current research interests include modeling, nano-faberication, and characterization of metamatertials, nanophotonics, transformation optics devices, and computational electromagnetics. I am a member of the Optical Society of America (OSA). I am the founder and the president of the OSA Purdue University Student Chapter.
