I am a first year grad student here at Purdue University and have yet to settle down on a topic to adopt for my long term research. Ideally, I shall resolve that soon enough, as I plan to spend my free time here trying to figure out what single thing I want to focus on for a very, very long time.
I graduated in 2005 from Hope College with a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics as well as a BA in German. I am, in fact, very interested in the arts, but, for the time being, Computer Science shall, by necessity, rule my mental capacities.
Outside the realm of Computer Science, some of my main interests are origami, cooking, and film editing. I have been practicing origami since the first grade and find it both sublimely interesting and, generally, relaxing. In the kitchen, I particularly enjoy cooking breads and desserts but will readily succumb to any culinary whimsy.
