Qihua Wang

Hi, there!  I am a fourth year Ph.D. student of Department of Computer Science at Purdue University.  I am also affiliated with the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS).  My advisor is Prof. Ninghui Li, who is the chair of my advisor committee as well.  Other members of my advisor committee are Profs. Elisa Bertino and Dongyan Xu. I am a recipient of the Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship for academic year 2009.

Brief Biography

I was born and grew up in Guangzhou, which is one of the biggest cities in southern China.  From 1994 to 2000, I attended Guangya Middle School, which was founded in 1888 and is one of the oldest middle schools in the country.  After that, I attended University of Science and Technology of China  (USTC) and received a Bachelor's degree in computer science in July 2004.  I came to Purdue University to pursue my PhD in Aug 2004.

Personal Interests

I love traveling and watching movies.  When I have extra time to kill, I play PC games.  I am a big fan of Diablo and have a huge collection of exceptional items.  Heroes of Might & Magic series is also my favorite.  I occasionally play real-time strategy games like Warcraft and Age of Empire series. 

My favorite sports are tennis, squash, basketball and swimming.  I pay a lot of attention on NBA and my favorite basketball team is the San Antonio Spurs.
