Things to do to prepare for your appointment

·     Tentative list of courses (and what requirement it fulfills ) :

                        CS 35200 Compilers princ & pract   = CS major requirement
                        CS 38100 Intro analysis algor  = CS major requirement
                        HIST 15100 American History to 1877 = General Education  requirement
                        MA 37500 = Math  major requirement
                        PES 116F00 Golf = Free Elective

 ·        If you do not know then *what requirement you are trying to fulfill*

                        CS 35200 Compilers princ & pract   = CS major requirement

·         Bring a tentative plan of study for review and approval (at least for two semesters)

Registration appointments beginning September 29th.

 Please come to LAWSON building room 1123 to make an appointment with me. We will be discussing your choices in courses, your Plan of Studies and your progress towards degree requirements. We will do a lot of planning without knowing the schedule of classes. Plan for multiple classes to fulfill a certain requirement. (in case we run into major schedule conflicts).

Your registration appointment with me has to happen before your Mypurdue portal is open to you: (Note: the classification is based on what you see in mypurdue)

 

Seniors-  Week of November 3rd

Juniors-  Week of November 10th

Sophomores-  Week of November 17th

Freshman-  Week of November 24th

 

If you miss your week then you will have to register during the open registration:

Open Registration to All-  Week of December 4th

 

 

Other Important Information

  • Your Science degree requires 32 credits of courses at the Junior or Senior level. Typically, these are considered to be 300-400 level courses.
  • A "C" or better is required in Pre-Calculus Courses (MA 153 & 154, or 159) to continue in to any version of MA 161.
  • Pass/Non-Pass Option is ONLY open to students who are classified as sophomore or upper-division students.
  • Pass/Non-Pass Option is NOT available to students on probation
  • Pass/Non-Pass Option CANNOT be elected for a course that already appears on your academic record.
  • Enrollment in more than 18 credits requires permission of the dean or designee
  • Students with a graduation index of less than 3.0 are advised not to take more than 17 credits in one semester
  • Students on academic probation may NOT attempt more than 15 credits without permission.
