1. The midterm will cover the material done for Hw1, Hw2, Hw3, Quiz1 and Quiz2. 2. Please go over all the homework problems, quiz problems, and examples done in class. 3. Know all the basic definitions. While you may not be asked to repeat definitions, you must know how to use definitions (e.g., contrapositive in logic, or one-to-one function) to solve problems. 4. Go over exercises to the point where you are comfortable and confident that you understand and can solve probems. That confidence is important and comes from doing a lot of problems and being clear in your mind about solutions. 5. Whenever you are given a question, uderstanding what the question is asking is almost a third of the solution. The remaining two-thirds comes from addressing what you just understood was being asked, and putting the answer in simple, clear language. 6.
