Final Exam Preparation ---------------------- You already know what the exam will cover based on the announcement on Blackboard. I realize, due to other exams, preparation time will be limited. The idea is to go into the exam with confidence. Go over --- all homework and understand it thoroughly --- all examples done in class --- all examples covered in PSOs Whenever you study for this and other exams, categorize all the different things that you study. For example, the different types of counting problems you've seen .... once you list them out in this way you'll see that they are all of a small number of types. This shows you that problems generally come from a (small) limited set of types, and you can handle that. Breaking things down into sets and grouping always prevents you from being overwhelmed because you see a finite (usually small) number of types. Always give it your best, in preparation and exams. Don't ever give up and leave early because you "think you can't do it". The process of sincerely trying is important. It does not matter what *anybody* thinks of you before or after --- *you* always have to give things your sincere, best shot. If you do, things work in the long run. *** Good luck on the exam and have a fantastic summer! *** Thank you all for the "American chalk". Now all I need is a good non-chalk-breaking blackboard to go with it. :)
