CS 690 S -- Dept Seminar
Math 175, Monday 4:30pm, contact: pam@cs.purdue.edu
--Click on date to see the talk abstract.
To encourage graduate students to be well-informed
about current research, the department sponsors weekly lectures by faculty
members and prominent visitors. All graduate students must register for cs690s,
Departmental Research Seminar, and attend at least 12 of these lectures each
semester during their first year.
--Students taking the seminar for credit
must sign the attendance sheet that is circulated during the beginning of each
lecture. On some occasions, an attendance sheet may also be used at the end of
lectures.
Note to speakers: Please keep in mind that many listeners are first year
graduate students that appreciate seeing the basics defined and illustrated (in
the first 1/2 hour). Each talk is from 4:30 to 5:15 + 5 min. for questions.
