"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try."
PhD Candidate
Department of Computer Science
Purdue University
Short Bio
I am a PhD candidate at the department of
computer science, Purdue University and
a Fulbright Alumnus from Sri
Lanka. I am also a member of CERIAS,
IEEE and ACM.
My main research interests are distributed systems security and applied
cryptogrphy; the exciting world of securing loosely coupled systems and
application of mathematics. My advisor is Prof. Elisa Bertino. The main
objective of my research is to make the (online) world a better place to
everyone in general.
My thesis work is on privacy preserving access control in data dissemination
scenarios using group key management techniques. I have been working on
computation over encrypted data as well.
I grew up in a small village in Galle, Sri Lanka [stats]. After
attending a few schools, I finally settled at St. Aloysius College, Galle. I did
my undergraduate degree at University of
Moratuwa.
