I am a PhD candidate in Department of Computer Science in Purdue University. I am a member of Dependable and Secure Distributed Systems Laboratory (DS^2) within The Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) . My advisor is Professor Cristina Nita-Rotaru.

Brief Biography

I was born and grew up in a southeastern city in China. I attended my high school in my hometown. In 1999, I started my undergraduate study in Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. I stayed in Tsinghua University for only one year, then in 2000 I moved to the beautiful city of Boston with my parents and continued my undergraduate study in the University of Massachusetts in Boston, where I obtained both my BS and MS degree. In August 2004, I came to Purdue University to pursue my PhD degree.

Research

My main areas of research are wireless ad hoc and mesh networks, especially security over such networks. I am mainly interested in practical and system-oriented research in this area. In the past, I have investigated the following issues

Personal

In my leisure time, I like to sit in front of my computer and hack my Linux box. I also like traveling, but unfortunately, up until now I have not had the time and money to travel as much as I want. Here are some of my traveling pictures.
