Recommendation Letters for National Interest Waiver Visa Applicants

Due to the volume of requests, and the time required to determine if an applicant truly has a degree of expertise significantly above that ordinarily encountered in the sciences, arts, or business, I only write letters when I have prior knowledge of the applicant's scientific achievements. This is in line with USCIS guidance that states letters may be persuasive when they are from experts in your field who have first-hand knowledge of your achievements. If you have reason to believe that I have such first-hand knowledge, please include a C.V. in your request, and note briefly in the email why you believe I would know your work.

To be fair to current students and my own time, I will no longer reply to requests from applicants where I do not have such first-hand knowledge.
