Final Project Grading Rubric: ============================= 50 points will be awarded for the clarity and formatting of written and oral presentation, while the remaining 50 points are awarded for the merits of the project undertaken. Project Presentation (Total: 20 points): All team members should be familiar with the project. The presentation grade will be shared by all. The presentation must include these components: - Problem Description - Approach Taken - Results Found (Survey papers should instead begin by outlining the area surveyed, give background on 1-2 representative papers [do not have time for all 20], and conclude with analysis, taxonomy, etc.) Final Report (Total: 30 points): In addition to the following, deductions will occur for papers not formatted according to guidelines. - Problem Statement (8 points) - Related Work (5 points) - Approach/Technique (8 points) - Results/Evaluation (5 points) - Future Work (4 points) Through the project presentation and report, you must convince us of the quality and merit of your project. This will be evaluated based on such qualities including, but not limited to (a) effort expended, (b) novelty, (c) difficulty, (d) completeness, and (e) accuracy. Projects (as a whole) will be rated as Fail (0/50 points), Fair (25/50 points), Satisfactory (40/50 points), or Good (50/50 points). Please keep this in mind during your presentation and while writing the paper. It should go without saying that you must adhere to the academic honesty policy, and must not e.g. plagarize, pass others' ideas off as your own, fabricate results or turn in results collected by others or not during the course of the project, etc. We will spot check papers for signs of academic dishonesty.
