good course for the Spring 2004: Introduction to Data Mining Information
Security (CS 490D)
to be offered by Prof.
Chris Clifton.
Acoording to Professor Clifton: "This course will be an introduction
to data mining. Topics will range from statistics to machine learning to
databases, with a focus on analysis of large data sets. Expect at least
one project involving real data, that you will be the first to apply data
mining techniques to."

Monday - October 6, 2003: In Assignment Set B, Problem 6, notice that we want to compose the division operator using the other basic relational operators, i.e., selections, projections, joins, union, intersect, and minus. Do not simply state A/B as the answer.
Friday - October 3, 2003: IMPORTANT NOTICE - The TAs demanded that Assignment Set B should be handed in electronically using the turn in command. This way, they can grade their portions of the assignments concurrently. So, the turnin command will be set to October 16, 2003 1:00PM.

Name your programs as query1.1, query1.2, ...,
query2.1, query2.2, .... Each of your programs will assume that a data
file students.dat is stored in the current
directory and when invoked, each program should perform the designated
functionality and produce the desired output.
So, your programs should be invoked in the following way:
