Guidelines for Technology Review

• Approximate time available: 25 minutes.
• Participate during presentation by other teams.
• Prepare in advance and aim for a polished presentation. Must have your presentation on your Team site prior to the presentation.
• Address the following:
  1. What technology are you reviewing? (~1 minute)
  2. Importance of this technology? Why is it needed? Developers of the technolgy? Competing technologies? Is it needed for your project? Why? (~3 minutes)
  3. Technical details. Illustrate with simple examples. Avoid trivialities. Clarity is important. (~20 minutes)
  4. Future of this technology?
  5. Provide references.
• Evaluation based on:
  1. Clarity of presentation.
  2. Depth of material covered.
  3. Understanding of the material presented in the classroom and beyond.
• All Tech Review presentations will be evaluated anonymously by each student in the class.
