Team formation (must be completed in the class)

Sample areas (not an exhaustive list): Bioinformatics, Computing in Drug design, Quantum computing, Molecular Computing. All research areas must be interdisciplinary with CS as one discipline.

Students: Please form teams of 3 each. Select a team, leader. Fill out the team preference form and hand over the form to me by the end of the class.

9/9 Summary Presentations-I

Teams 1,2, 3, and 4

Each team delivers a 7-10 minute presentation on the topic they would like to research during this spring. Sample presentation is here.
9/16 Summary Presentations II

9/23 Progress Presentations-I

Teams 1, 2, and 3

Each team delivers a 10-12 minute presentation summarizing the progress made so far.

Each team makes a 20 minute presentation on their findings

Each team writes a short 1-2 page report on one presentation they have seen so far.The postive and negative comments as well suggestions for improvements made for each project will be shared by the instructor with the entire class without mentioning names of who critiqued whom.

Deadline for electronic submission (via email): 5pm 11/22/02.
