Prototype Presentations:

Schedule: To be decided

Guidelines for Prototype presentation

  • Approximate time available: 25 minutes. Room: To be decided.
  • Use UML notation for all diagrams.
  • Divide your entire presentation into three parts. The first part is an Overview of the project, the second part is the demo of your prototype, and the third part is Q&A
  • In the first part address the following:
    1. State the goals of this project.
    2. Recap the functionality that was requested and what you have provided in the prototype.
    3. Review the overall architecture of the prototype in terms of its essential components; no need to go into the details of the design.
    4. Describe the most important things you learnt from this project (not from the entire BITS C461 course).
    5. Mention one or two challenges that you faced and describe briefly how you overcame them.
    6. Indicate how the sponsor can get the prototype and where are the instructions for its installation and operation.
  • In the second part show the demo. Offer the sponsor the opportunity to construct inputs for your prototype. Try out your demo from the video conference room prior to the scheduled presentation.
  • In the third part invite the sponsor to ask questions. At the end thank them for the opportunity to work on this project.
