    • decided to solicit donations for the travel grants and general funds separately.
    • packages for general funds are: bronze ($250), silver ($500), gold ($1000), and platinum ($2000).
    • Abhilash will enter the numbers into her document and distribute this to everyone.
    • Abhinav will write a letter to Northrop Grumman describing how their money was spent last year.
  • Events this semester
    • discussed possibilities of:
      • organizing programming and other contests (must do ACM programming contests through the ACM chapter);
      • organizing preparation for job search or tenure-track position panels;
      • ordering Jimmy John's for events instead of pizza.
    • decided to have BBQ on campus at the end of September and a bowling night at the end of October
      • Jacques will look into the possibilities of organizing the BBQ.
      • Jing will look into the possibilities of organizing the bowling night (Tue, Wed, or Thu two weeks from now).

    • We might look into running joint events with other organizations and/or departments at Purdue.

    • Abhilasha and Marina met with Dr. Hambrusch and Dr. Frederickson yesterday to discuss grants.
    • Next step is to obtain input from Dr. Spafford and Dr. Clifton.
    • Grants will be competition based (tentatively 4 deadlines per year), quick turnaround (2 weeks).
    • We want to emphasize that this is not the first place to go.
    • Evaluation done by both the GSB and faculty based on conf. acceptance rate and other criteria.
    • All details should be thought through before we start the program.

    • It would be nice to have GSB T-shirts, but might be expensive to do.
