About The Program
Are You Smarter Than YOUR 5th Grader? is for students in grades 4-6 and their parents or guardians. The program allows students and parents to develop understanding and experience success in technology alongside each other. Space is limited, so register today.

What You Will Do
Participants will engage in an ALICE Storytelling
Challenge and Pico Cricket design studio.
Separate topical meals will be conducted for
parent and child groups. Parents will hear from
guest speakers to inspire them to share the
joy of technology with their children. Children
lunches will engage them in CS Unplugged activities
and exposure to Purdue specific activities. Participants should plan to attend all 6 Saturday workshop sessions. Sessions will be led by local K-12 teachers and supported by current CS and Purdue students. Each session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end by 1:00 p.m.
Cost
The workshop is offered at no charge, but a $25.00 deposit is required to register. The $25.00 check will be returned to participants upon completion of all 6 workshop session.
Lunch is also offered for students and parents at no charge, and participants get to take
home a Pico Cricket set valued at $250.
