Welcome Purdue CS Alumni!

Dear Friend,

Since its inception in 1962 as the nation's first Department of Computer Science, Purdue Computer Science has been recognized as one of the top computer science programs in the country. Such notoriety has only been possible because of the achievements and support from dedicated alumni and friends like yourself. Thanks for representing your alma mater so well!

With your continued input and support, we are committed to advancing the frontiers of computer science, expanding the pool of qualified individuals working in the discipline and reaching-out beyond the university to apply computational principles to technical and societal problems.

Our faculty and staff are working hard to create an environment where creating and disseminating new knowledge in computing is something that all of our students experience first-hand. We expect many of them to follow your example, and emerge as key leaders in the field.

On this website, we have included some of the most helpful links for Purdue Alumni and friends. Please know that you are always welcome to visit the department in person as your schedule permits. If a campus visit is not possible, we would love to receive an update via email. For those of you who are in a position to visit, we would enjoy giving you a tour of our new "home"--The Richard and Patricia Lawson Computer Science Building--that we officially moved into Fall Semester 2006. We even have a Café in the Lawson Building appropriately named by the CS students as "The Port". Perhaps I can treat you to a cup of coffee or a latte and hear about your "journey" since your Purdue CS days?

If I can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to contact me.

Hail Purdue!
