CS 390W The Wireless Revolution

This course will take a top-to-bottom approach to introduce the students to different aspects of wireless technologies and applications. Besides providing an overview of the current technologies and applications, the emphasis on the course will be to identify the challenges that face the engineering of wireless communications systems. The course will cover fundamental concepts in mobile wireless systems such as applications, security, standards, middleware, multimedia, systems (including wireless local area networks, sensor networks, adhoc networks, cellular systems), mobility management, networking, and wireless communication.
