CS 590G Image-Based 3D Computer Graphics

Basic programming (data structures, algorithms, file I/O, C / C++), some basic mathematics concepts (3D vec tors, matrices). Some exposure to 3D graphics recommended (i.e. classes CS 334, CS 434 or CS 535 (ME 573). %D; The course covers image-based rendering (IBR), a novel approach to 3D computer graphics. In IBR the scene is modeled and rendered using photographs, and IBR techniques have been created that produce images of stunning realism at interactive rates. CS590G is a project-based course in which students implement the techniques of texture-mapping, panorama stitching and rendering, view morphing, image warping and light field rendering
