List of Topics : Software life cycles, requirements engineering, software design, design of distributed systems, verification and validation, software architecture, process metrics and models, research methods in software engineering. An unscheduled laboratory will include exercises designed to reinforce the concepts, principles, and techniques covered during lectures. The laboratory material will be sequenced based on the the material covered during the lectures. A selection of commercial and research prototype tools will be used.
