You can register for EPICS by completing the following four step process: |
- Become familiar with the EPICS teams to determine which teams best fit your interest and course of study. Visit the Project Teams page for descriptions of the current teams. You should identify five teams in which you are most interested as you will be asked to list those in order when you sign up online with EPICS.
- Determine if the Team Lab Time can fit into your schedule. Each team is scheduled for a weekly two-hour lab. Although it is preferable that you are able to attend both hours of the lab, new students are permitted to schedule in conflict for the second hour of the lab.
- Sign up for EPICS online at http://myepics.ecn.purdue.edu/Registration/.
You will receive an EPICS confirmation email. That is just a sign up acknowledgement from EPICS.
After you sign-up, your application will be reviewed to determine the best match between you and your preferred teams. You will then receive instructions via email that will tell you how to register (Step #4) for the team with which you were matched. There is an enrollment limit, so it may not be possible to match every applicant with a team. Students are assigned on a first-come, first served basis.
- Forward the email from EPICS that assigns you to a team to your advisor. Your advisor will then be able to register you on the EPICS team you have been assigned to and hence the registration to EPICS is complete.
