Curriculum: CS&E Master's Program
For the M.S. with a specialization in computational science and engineering (CS&E), the requirements are the same as for the regular master's program except that:

The plan of study must:
- include three CS&E core courses other than CS 501.
- include three courses, or one course plus a thesis, in a single application area outside Computer Sciences. Appropriate CS&E core courses may be used to fulfill application area requirements.
- list at least 21 of the course credits in Computer Sciences. CS 501 may not be used.
- reflect a GPA of at least 3.25.
- be approved by the CS&E Graduate Committee (as well as by the Computer Sciences Graduate Committee and the student's advisory committee).
- The CS&E graduate administrator should be contacted about forming an advisory committee.
