When you complete the Electronic Graduate School application, please note the following items:
Letters of Recommendation, the Statement of Purpose, and the CS Supplementary Form are integral parts of your electronic application, which will be viewed by the admissions committee online.
Campus Location is "West Lafayette (Main Campus)."
Name: If you have a passport, list your name exactly as it appears in the passport. It is very important to use exactly the same name throughout the entire application process. Inconsistencies in the name you use can be disadvantageous, particularly if we have to use your name to associate materials (for example transcripts, official TOEFL and TSE reports) with your application.
Session: Fall is the usual sessions of entry and some students enter in the spring. Very few students enter in the summer session because we do not usually offer regular graduate courses or provide financial support for new students in the summer.
Department is Computer Science.
Enrollment Objective/Educational Goal:
Select "Doctor of Philosophy"/"Doctoral ", if you are interested in earning a Ph.D. in this department. You can achieve a Master's on the way to the Ph.D. Students with a doctoral degree objective are considered first for financial support.
If you select "Master of Science"/ " Master's", you may follow the doctoral program from the time you enter just as if you had been admitted to the doctoral program. If you decide on the doctoral program later, you will have to apply for it.
The "Non-Degree" objective/educational goal is available only to local residents or applicants participating in an exchange or study abroad program. Access to courses may be severely limited. If this is your objective, ask the Computer Science Graduate Secretary (494-6004) for instructions.
The "Professional Degree", "Educational Specialist", and "Teacher License" are not available as educational goals in Computer Science.
