CS 590S Programming Languages and Compliers Seminar

Programming languages and compiler design. Background in operating systems would be an added positive. Stu dents who are not fluent in these areas should see the instructor prior to enrollment. %D; The focus of this seminar will be on language implementations, focusing primarily on compiler organization and optimizations. There are two main goals for this class. The first is to have students think critically about contemporary research in the field, by having participants lead a discussion group on a particular topic or paper. The second is to target topical issues in programming language and compiler design by undertaking a detailed investigation of some specific research areas.
