The goal of this research is to create new solutions to Internet traffic control with emphasis on QoS-sensitive data transport under self-similar traffic conditions. Some of the issues covered are: self-similar traffic properties, transport of multimedia data with real-time QoS constraints using end-to-end control, fairness/optimality/efficiency. Projects: self-similar network traffic and its control, real-time MPEG video/audio transport using adaptive packet-level forward error-correction (AFEC), greedy traffic control, fast routing with QoS-constraints.
