It is getting more common to outsource technology projects to a computing service or consulting organization, and the security of the outsourced data is becoming vital especially when sensitive data is transmitted. This project examines how to disguise or hide the actual data before being outsourced. Some existing algorithms used to disguise the sensitive information are also investigated to determine if these algorithms introduce unexpected numerical instabilities, decreasing the returned data quality. Our overall goal is to make the outsourcing of scientific computations both secure and accurate.
