Internet QoS Architecture

Principal Investigator: Kihong Park

Collaborator: M. Sitharam

Student: S. Chen

The goal of this research is to create new solutions to effective QoS provision on the Internet. Some of the issues covered are: non-cooperative network environment with selfish applications or users, stratified best-effort QoS provision without resource reservation provision of stable, adaptive services. Projects: analysis of non-cooperative QoS provision games, design/analysis/implementation of LAN-scale systems, design/analysis/implementation of WAN-scale (many-switch) systems, and game-theoretic analysis of congestion control protocols.
