The Corporate Partners Program (CPP) is a program encouraging corporate involvement in the Department of Computer Sciences. Companies, who participate at one of three membership tiers, get involved in the everyday activity of the department. They have opportunities to speak in classes, sponsor student projects and otherwise make contact with CS students and faculty. Members of the CPP include giants of the IT industry as well as some small, specialized companies.
A subset of the Corporate Partners Program is the Corporate Partners Council. Members are executives or senior managers with select CPP companies. They meet twice each year to provide input and feedback to departmental and school leadership. Recent contributions of the council have included help in revising the undergraduate and graduate curriculums and insight in drafting the department's strategic plan. Council members include:
