This laboratory houses a project for research on algorithm and software scalability for parallel systems. The project includes the development of efficient and practical scalable parallel algorithms for computer vision and image processing tasks and the development of prototype software tools to test the concepts of a library-based software environment. The parallel architectures currently used include a MasPar MP-1 and MP-2, the Intel Touchstone Delta, Intel Paragon, and IBM SP-1 and SP-2.
