The purpose of this group is to gain direct experience in the installation, evaluation, configuration and usage of different security software packages; to provide a common software evaluation form for evaluating publically available software currently on the COAST archive and in the commercial realm; and to install and configure software in a working environment (i.e., the COAST Lab). We intend to use this experience to aid us in developing new tools and in integrating disparate tools together in an effective manner.
