Dr. Hadjidimos, at present, is at the University of Crete, Heraklion, Greece, and has held positions at the University of Athens, Greece; the New University of Ulster, U.K.; the University of Ioannina, Greece; and visiting positions at the Loughborough University of Technology, U.K.; Kent State University, Ohio; and the University of Connecticut at Storrs. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, the Journal of Numerical Linear Algebra With Applications, the International Journal of Computer Mathematics, and the Computer Mathematics and Its Applications. He is a member of the IMACS Technical Committee for Computational Linear Algebra. He is also the editor of Iterative Methods for Solving Linear Systems of Algebraic Equations, North Holland, Amsterdam, 1988.

His research interests are in numerical analysis and scientific computing and include the numerical solution of linear algebraic systems by iteration techniques (sequential or parallel) and related topics.
