Dr. Weerawarana's research interests involve various issues in Problem Solving Environments (PSEs) for computational science applications. His current research is on intergrating symbolic, numeric, parallel, and intelligent computation as well as on the systems issues (language, user-interface and networking) of PSEs for partial differential equation based applications. He has developed several prototype software systems and is actively involved with the PDE Lab, SoftLab, //ELLPACK and SciencePad projects.
Projects: SciencePad, Web //ELLPACK, ELLPACK-PDELab, SoftLab, PYTHIA: Using Computational Intelligence to Support Problem Solving Environments, Multidisciplinary Problem Solving Environments
